A kitchen full of colour, life and incredible materials. Working closely with the client and owner of Zobo Design we have created a stand out kitchen for this beautifully extended farmhouse in Stonegate.

Featuring a solid elm book matched worktop on the island, sanded for over 10 hours by our amazing team in the workshop, filled with a chocolate coloured epoxy resin and then oiled. The natural grain has really been brought to life. All the work that went into making this top has resulted in a durable work surface more than suitable for a kitchen in this family home.

The main kitchen area aka ‘the pantry’ is a hand painted shaker style kitchen with tongue and groove panelling throughout, elevated to a contemporary feel through the use of colour. We had the opportunity to use a stunning stone in this space and the exceptional Verde Guatemala marble worktop works so well.

The bench seat was introduced into the design due to the existing building having a lower window on this wall. Being a completely bespoke furniture company we can offer solutions like this. Whilst this could’ve been a ‘problem’ in the design we saw it as an opportunity and with this seat being introduced into the kitchen it makes this area more homely and sociable although being in a separate room from the island.

This was such an inspiring project to work on, creating a beautiful fully functional and practical kitchen that completely reflects the clients personality.
